The Maison Guillaume-Estèbe is one of the most remarkable French Regime residences still preserved in Old Quebec. Built around 1752 for Guillaume Estèbe, an influential merchant and member of the administration of New France, it is located on rue Saint-Pierre and is one of the only buildings in the Lower Town to have survived the 1759 bombardment of Quebec. Classified as a heritage building in 1960, it was restored and integrated into the Musée de la civilisation complex in 1986.
